Even Britney Spears, who is a young woman with enormous drive and talent, is feeling the strain.
Michael Jackson's troubles as a young artist are well known.
It's not the artist, it's the industry. The message artists hear is, 'Follow the formula, Take the short term profits.'
But artists need more than formulas and short term profits. They need time to create and grow, and to find their own ways along winding creative roads.
