Eww Review In The T.U. (Albany Times Union)

October 06, 2002

Well, my homage to David Boies, Thank You, David Boies, For Everything, has been reviewed by my hometown print newspaper, the T. U. - The Albany Times Union - 'To David, with love'

They also printed in color the photo of me in the Galliano dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes that caused such a sensation when it first came out. Aimee in Black

I don't know if you'll think the review is good or not, since it closes with the word 'eww' - but I'm really happy about it!

For one thing the anonymous reviewer points out that my spelling of "Manolo Blahnick (sic)", the Spanish designer who made the shoes I talk about, is not correct - it's actually Blahnik.

Nice! Thanks very much. For what it's worth E!Online always seems to do the same thing, describing the Manolo Blahnick (sic) shoes on Celine Dion, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katie Holmes, and Cameron Diaz.

So I guess I'm in good company - I mean, of girls who wear Manolo Blahnik shoes!

I swear, I hope you're joking when you say you don't know whether this 'review' was good or not. Please! You HAVE to be kidding. It said that your homage was too embarassing to print! Sheesh. I had never heard of you or your site until I saw that this morning, so I suppose good WILL come of it, in the form of curious people like myself seeing what all the fuss is about. But really! Hmph. Yes, Anna, I think you detect a note of irony there. Thanks for checking it out! /Aimee Posted by: Aimee, http://www.musicpundit.com on October 6, 2002 10:37 PM

Hey Aimee. I read the article, and I think that person who wrote it was really jealous. Jealousy is the cause of 99% of all world conflicts. Thats why everybody hates U.S.A., because they are better off than most nations. It's good to see that you did not take it as an insult. It only shows once again that you are above them. In today's irony-drenched age subversive humor seems weirdly out of touch. I assume Anna, spelled backward, would kill to look like you in that dress ... Keep on smiling Posted by: jozef imrich, http://www.amediadragonblogspot.com on November 4, 2002 07:51 AM
